Ancella manor farm Montalbano

Montalbano

As the result of the renovation of an ancient farmhouse of 1700 in the village of Montalbano, this space is now a place where love for the products and traditions of the land of Puglia is combined with the typical local architecture. From winery headquarters it was decided to convert this splendid farm in a resort, refurbishing typical Trulli outbuildings and redesigning all spaces in order to obtain rooms where time seems to have stopped, thanks to local material selection as the dry stone used for floors and ceilings and to antique furniture; but also spaces suitable for wine and typical products tasting and a thermal spa with saunas and wine-based whirlpool baths. There are many details that highlight the passion for wine, such as seats, reception desk and outside parasols bases, obtained from wooden barrels. Thanks to clever use of materials, colours and chosen furnishings, the environment is perfectly integrated with the surrounding context and has also kept its soul and its link with the past, which is a primary detail.
