Located in a residential district in the South of Bari, few miles away from a village of fishermen, this project comes from the owner need to split the single house in a duplex one. After that division our work focused on one of the two units, where the owner is living nowadays. This villa, that according to rooms division and material choices once was a typical building of the eighties, has now become at the same time a shell of memories and cuts with the past, thanks to a radical intervention in each single part, both outside and inside. Floors, before made in iroko slats, are now in natural split slate sheets, while for the bedrooms has been selected a white oak. Spaces distribution was designed to contain the owner ancient furniture, the effect obtained today is a harmonious ambient where antiquity and modernity perfectly live together.
